Dbtech announced today the release of a new product called eFolders to address the specific needs of financial and administrative workflows. This new addition to the Ras suite of solutions demonstrates dbtech’s commitment to the ongoing development of its core ECM solution and ensures dbtech remains both relevant to and enhances IT trends affecting businesses today.

“Dbtech has always actively engaged with its customers to appreciate their direction, needs and constraints. Customer input along with a keen eye towards industry trends propels our IT development and packaged solutions,” said Greg Park, dbtech director of enterprise solutions. “Our latest release ensures our users have the most comprehensive ECM solution on the market at a cost that provides an immediate ROI.”

As experts in ECM, and one of the first vendors in the market, dbtech is expanding their Ras solution with eFolders which will aggregate, distribute and automate structured and non-structured content from any platform into a vendor neutral solution developed to streamline existing financial and administrative workflows. “One of the challenges facing EMR’s and EHR’s is the distribution of content to non-patient facing personnel. As an example, eFolders will aggregate purchase orders and inbound invoices while managing approval processes. This application of eFolders will save our customers money by leveraging early payment discounts and avoiding lost and missing invoices,” Park said.

eFolders collects information from existing IT platforms and external sources, including outputs from any platform or desktop, scanned images, electronic invoices, photographs and any other content. This provides significant benefits for Human Resources, Accounts Payable, and Materials Management. eFolders is classified as a Vendor Neutral Archiving and Automation solution that expedites document approvals, collaboration and the replacement of inefficient paper forms with digital and interactive forms. One of the biggest questions clients have asked; is your platform integrated with my existing EMR or financial system? This element of the system design has been given great attention, and our customers will appreciate that the content stored in eFolders will be easily accessible to users directly from Epic, Soarian, Meditech, Lawson and any other platform with the ability to call upon external resources. “It was important during the design phase to include extensive API’s that literally make eFolders as transparent to the customer as they wanted it to be. Many users will not know that their invoice or contract is even stored in eFolders,” Park said.
